Small details

- Klackey hands focus back to the exact window you were using before it inserts anything, so the paste lands in the right field even though the popup briefly had focus.
- Whatever was already on your clipboard is restored right after the paste completes, including if the paste itself fails, so Quick Paste never quietly overwrites a copy you needed.
- Formatted snippets paste as formatted HTML into fields that support it, and as clean plain text into fields that don’t, matched automatically to the target.
- A Dynamic Snippet still prompts for its fill-in details first, right at your cursor, before anything gets inserted.

What's the keyboard shortcut for Quick Paste?+
Control+Alt+V on Windows, Command+Option+V on Mac, by default. Change it any time in Settings by clicking the hotkey field and pressing whatever combination you'd rather use.
Does Quick Paste work in literally any app?+
Yes. It's a global, system-wide shortcut, so it opens over a browser, a desktop app, a ticketing tool, or anything else that currently has focus, and pastes into whatever field had the cursor when you pressed it.
Will Quick Paste overwrite what I already had copied?+
No. Klackey writes the snippet to the clipboard just long enough to paste it, then restores whatever was on your clipboard immediately afterward, even if the paste itself fails.
Does the pasted text keep its formatting?+
Yes, where the target field supports it. Klackey pastes the snippet's formatted HTML into HTML-aware fields (email, tickets, docs) and clean plain text into plain-text fields, the same content, matched to what the field accepts.
Can I paste something I copied recently, not just a saved snippet?+
Yes. Quick Paste's Clipboard tab reaches your recent copies too, so a tracking number or address you copied a minute ago in another window is one shortcut away without alt-tabbing back to find it.
